Spring Break 2010

We had so much fun this past week for spring break. We enjoyed our trip with our friends the Elliott's. We went to Port Aransas which is really close to Corpus Christi. It's about a 2 n half hours drive, not bad. We missed the craziness with the college spring breakers so there was hardly anyone one there which made it that much nicer. We shared a large condo and we had a blast!! You never know how it's going to turn out going with another family but it couldn't of gone better. The kids didn't argue once and everyone got along!! The boys skim boarded and all the kids enjoyed playing in the sand. The last night we were there we built a fire on the beach and enjoyed some delicious smores!!! We had so much fun and it was so nice to get away for a couple of days!! Enjoy the show!

Kaylee's 12th Birthday

Our baby girl is now a Young Lady

I can't believe that we are entering into a new phase of life of the Teen Years! Exciting stuff. I took Kaylee to get her make-up lesson and she and I had so much fun together. This is all bitter sweet for me because these are the firsts for her and I but also our last, I only have one daughter and so these times are exciting but also kinda sad for me. Kaylee was so happy to get her make-up done and finally wear it. She literally has been counting down the days. Boy does she look grown up. The make up we got was natural and age appropriate. She has done a wonderful job with putting it on. She's a natural. Heres a snapshot into our special moment!

We just want to tell Kaylee how excited we are for her. Kaylee made the Dance Team!!! She is beyond excited. She seems to have really grown up this past year along with her legs!! I measured our ankles to knees and her knee is about 3 inches higher than mine! She's getting very tall, she only has about an inch n half to catch me. She said that this is what she wanted for her birthday is to make the dance team and she did it. We are going to have fun today. It's time for her little make-up makeover for her 12th birthday she'll be celebrating this weekend. My daughter is in Young Women's!! Wow I can't believe it. Kaylee is a sweetheart and so helpful. I'm very proud of who she is and she always stands up for what she believes in and is a true leader. Happy Birthday and Congrats sweetheart!
